America is struggling with an obesity epidemic and it is not getting any better. One reason may be that traditional weight loss diets are not effective. Now researchers are looking at studies conducted on obesity to determine why that is. Dr. Sack, a professor of nutrition at Harvard, conducted a study that found that different types of diet work for different people. Two people can have the same weight, gender and age yet the same diet will not work for both. Weight-loss experts are starting to think that this happens because obesity is not just one disease rather is has many different subtypes.
